Rugbi Industrial Supplies is a leading independent supplier of safety clothing and equipment. We have been keeping people safe and tooled up since 1990 and have steadily added products and services in line with our customer needs and requirements.

Our underlying business rule is to deliver quality customer service by meeting our customer's expectations and needs, we don't commit if we can't deliver. Our aim is to maintain our independence and flexibility, as this will ensure we continue to deliver top customer service.

Rugbi Industrial Supplies places great importance on the impact it has on environment and its vision is to ensure it plays a part in the protection and long-term sustainability of the natural world. Our aim is to minimize the environmental impact of our products and services, and to achieve continual improvement in environmental performance.

Rugbi Industrial Supplies consistently aims to operate in an environmentally responsible manner, reducing our impact on our surroundings, and protection of the wider environment by taking a life cycle approach to understanding our impacts on the environment, those of our suppliers, and products we buy and sell. A key objective of this policy is to reduce impact on climate change resource used, for example energy, materials, packaging, and ensure any waste is recycled.

Rugbi Industrial Supplies has introduced numerous initiatives to restrict its negative impact on the environment wherever possible.  The company’s commitments include: -

  • Setting annual environmental Objectives, targets and action plans and monitor progress in delivery as part of our commitment to continual environmental improvement.
  • Monitoring and reducing our Scope 1, 2 and group of Scope 3 emissions with a near term and Net Zero target by 2050.
  • Ensuring all our compliance obligations are met, both legal and voluntary.
  • Optimally utilising resources and re-using materials wherever possible.
  • Encouraging more sustainable purchasing practices by purchasing environmentally responsible items wherever practicable
  • Influencing our suppliers and contractors to encourage them to be environmentally responsible.
  • Considering our and our supply chains impact on biodiversity, for example through sourcing sustainably sourced timber productions.
  • Communicating the environmental policy to all employees and encouraging their involvement
  • Use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to carry out our work and communicate with clients and suppliers – thus avoiding the generation of excessive volumes of paper waste.
  • Encourage our staff to minimise car/van journeys and use environmentally sustainable transport methods in respect of commuting and business journeys wherever practical.
  • Improving our reputation as an environmentally sensitive and responsible organisation amongst our employees, partners, clients and the general public in this generation and the next.
  • Assessing the environmental performance of our standard range of products we buy and sell and offer a green / eco range.
  • Make a commitment to protection of the environment, including pollution prevention and other environmental issues relating to the organisation’s operating context
  • Review annually this environmental policy in relation to any new organisational practices, changes in legislation and best practice.
